Greetings from Capitol, I wanted to reach out to you directly to let you know about a special scholarship opportunity for cybersecurity students applying from community college who are on track to complete their associate’s degree by the fall semester 2017. The CTSP (Capitol Transfer Scholarship Program) will provide a full tuition scholarship for 4 semesters of learning at a distance for candidates interested in completing their degree in cybersecurity online. There are a limited number of these scholarships to be awarded for fall semester 2017 and we would like for you to nominate some of your students interested in distance learning for degree completion in Cybersecurity. In order to be nominated, they would need to have applied and been accepted before April 17th, be on track to complete their associate’s degree with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA by the fall 2017 semester, major in our cyber and information security program and participate in an online interview to compete for one of the eight scholarships to be awarded this year. During the online interview Applicants will be required to present on a current cybersecurity topic or their senior / Capstone project. Once selected students will be required to take placement exams in math, English, programming, cybersecurity. The Capitol Technology University online application is free, as is our application on the Common App. They will need to forward a copy of your community college transcripts and essay to the office of admissions.
