The proposal period for those institutions and organizations that want to host a 2016 GenCyber camp is now open. The proposal period closes on December 19, 2015, 11:59pm US Eastern Time.
The primary purpose of the GenCyber program is to support the growth of the next generation of cybersecurity experts for the nation:
Increase interest in cybersecurity careers and diversity in the cybersecurity workforce of the nation.
Help all students understand correct and safe on-line behavior
Improve teaching methods for delivering cybersecurity content for K-12 curricula
The 2016 GenCyber Program has three main program area options to apply:
Student Programs
Teacher Programs
Combination Programs for students and teachers
Participants (teachers or students) in GenCyber camps cannot be charged to attend or participate in the camp (i.e., camps must be free to attend for all selected participants).
Completed proposals should be submitted to submissions@gen-cyber.com.
