Goal: Cybersecurity is the newest and fastest-growing sector of the Information Technology profession today. The Teach Cyber! scholarship is recruiting current or former military members and will provide them the necessary education and certifications that will allow the opportunity to earn degrees in cybersecurity -- either a bachelor’s or master’s depending on their current credential -- from CAE-designated universities at no cost to them to better prepare them for the transition to teaching in Computer Information systems.

Qualification: Current or former military member

Outcome: All Teach Cyber! participants will have the opportunity to earn degrees in cybersecurity -- either a bachelor’s or master’s depending on their current credential -- from CAE-designated uni-versities at no cost to them to better prepare them for the transition to teaching. After graduation, all Teach Cyber! participants must teach for an existing or prospective CAE-designated program for the same amount of time as they received scholarship support.

All participants will receive up to one year of mentoring support via individual outreach and at least monthly video conferences with current faculty, and fellow Teach Cyber! graduates who have been placed in adjunct or tenured roles at community colleges and university programs throughout the Southwest.
