Greetings CAE in Cybersecurity Community! The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is hosting a workshop on the CATS Project. The Cybersecurity Assessment Tools (CATS) project is providing rigorous instruments for assessing and evaluating educational practices. We are now developing our second CAT, a Cybersecurity Curriculum Assessment (CCA) tool. The CCA measures how well curricula prepared students graduating from college on fundamentals needed for careers in cybersecurity. We will generate at least twenty-five multiple-choice assessment items that will compose the CCA.
UMBC is currently seeking 20 people (10 local, 10 distant) participate in a two-day workshop February 19-20, 2018, near UMBC to help develop questions for a CCA tool as part of the CATS Project. A grant provided by the DoD, will pay for all reasonable travel expenses. (Please see attached agenda.)
If you would like to attend, please fill out the pre-event survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K5PY6HG
Also, UMBC is also looking for a simple letter of support for the CATS grant proposal to NSF SFS Capacity. (See below for a sample letter.)
