The CAE-R Community will be running the annual Special Topics Workshop in 2024 in conjunction with the CAE-R Research Symposium on October 9, 2024. Following past years’ practices, the workshop will be restricted to a small number of participants from both CAE-R institutions and government agencies. 

For the 2024 Special Topic Workshop, we are seeking nominations of topics of interest from CAE-R faculty as well as representatives from government agencies.

Process for nominating topics:

1. All topics should be submitted through this Google Form.
2. The Program Committee of the CAE-R Research Symposium, together with the CAE-R co-leads, will make the final selection.
3. Deadline for nominating topics: May 31, 2024.

Process for selecting participants:

1. The selected topic will be announced to the CAE-R community as well as all interested government agencies by June 15.
2. All faculty members from CAE-R institutions interested in participating in the Special Topics Workshop may apply by submitting:
   1. a statement of interest indicating why and how the Special Topics Workshop can enhance his/her research agenda, and
   2. a short CV.
3. Deadline for submission: July 15, 2024.
4. The Program Committee, together with a few government representatives, will select approximately 8 faculty members from the submissions received.
5. Academic participants will be notified by August 15, 2024.
