4th National Women in Cybersecurity Conference

The 4th National Women in Cybersecurity conference (NSF Award# 1303441) will be held on March 31- April 1, Tucson, AZ, www.wicys.net

This event is jointly organized by Tennessee Tech and The University of Arizona.

Call for Scholarship Application, and Call for Participation are NOW open.

We have limited capacity of 800 attendees. As always, we expect that 50% of the attendees will be students from 2 and 4 year institutions at all levels of education, 25% of expected attendees will be educators,  and 25% are industry professionals—again at various levels of their careers.

WiCyS scholarships will be given out to students (maximum 400) and faculty (maximum 50). Scholarship recipients will receive guaranteed registration with subsidized registration fee ($30 for students and $150 for faculty) which will include two nights of shared lodging (March 30-31) at the J.W Marriott Resort and Spa, Tucson. There will be some travel scholarships (up to $500) available to WiCyS scholarship recipients. Deadline for WiCyS scholarship application is November 21st .  Acceptance notification is December 5.

The WiCyS conference will offer:
• Distinguished speaker sessions
• Technical presentations
• Technical workshops
• Student Poster competitions (winners receive travel grants)
• Birds-of Feather discussions
• Speed mentoring and networking session
• Panel discussions
• Lightning talks
• Career and graduate school fair (expecting 50+ organizations)
• Meet ups with/among Industry, Government and Academic partners
Call for proposal in all categories (except distinguished speaker sessions) is now open until November 6. Please submit an abstract by the deadline. Accepted program participation guarantees one complimentary registration with lodging.

We have limited capacity and therefore, the only way to guarantee registration with limited capacity is through scholarships, program participation, and sponsorships.
