This four week workshop will prepare instructors to teach the Introduction to Autonomous Vehicle Cybersecurity course by introducing them to the content. In the first three weeks, participants will engage through a remote asynchronous instructor facilitated format as they review the course content and explore its application. The final week will include an opportunity for participants to interact in a remote synchronous session with a subject-matter expert to complete a lab using an open-source autopilot, which will be shipped to the participants for their use during the course and for them to retain upon completion.

Autonomous vehicles offer advantages in challenging operational settings including in maritime, land, air, and space environments, while providing financial and safety benefits through their use. However, cybersecurity threats have the potential to delay or disrupt operations through either the malicious action of external actors or the unintentional mistakes of trusted parties. This course provides an overview of general cybersecurity threats and mitigations, with special focus on those applicable to autonomous vehicles in all domains.
