The aim of this CoP-CD initiative is to coordinate and assist in showcasing the biographies and talents of the following audience who are seeking academic positions in colleges/universities, linking them to current job searches for faculty.  Job seekers in the area of cybersecurity or closely related computing fields are invited to submit their information:

  • MS students/recent graduates
  • Doctoral students/recent graduates
  • Industry and government agency professionals
  • Current faculty members at academic institutions

Colleges and Universities with current faculty searches are encouraged to submit their search criteria to assist job seekers to find positions that meet their qualifications, interests, and quality of life choices.

This CoP-CD initiative will seek to provide content for faculty job seekers by expanding the current “CAE Faculty Opportunities” (https://caecommunity.org/resources/faculty-opportunities) page with a newly proposed “Faculty Job Seekers” section under the current “Faculty Opportunities” section.  This initiative will also update the current content on the page to host colleges and universities with current faculty searches.

This CoP-CD initiative will provide a platform for students and recent graduates in cybersecurity or closely related computing fields who are interested in obtaining a faculty member academic position in one of the NCAE-C designated institutions around the nation to showcase themselves (include LinkedIn link), their work experience, their CV/Resume, areas they can teach, extracurricular activities they can lead, and/or other professional interests. Moreover, professionals from various industries and government agencies who have the credentials needed (varies by state and school) and seek to teach cybersecurity at one of the NCAE-C designated institutions are welcome to showcase themselves. Additionally, academics who are currently faculty members around the nation who are seeking additional adjunct faculty overload opportunities, are allowed by their current institution, and have the capacity to serve as adjuncts (either locally in their area or online) will also be able to showcase themselves.

Stay tuned for updates and amazing news from this initiative.
