Our Mission
"To collaborate with both the CAE-R Community and the NCAE-C Program Management Office (PMO) to build a Cybersecurity Excellence Community of Practice in Cyber Research (CoP-R) in order to gather and share input from the broader community as well as to provide continuous program improvement".
Ongoing Initiatives
The goal of INSuRE is to connect government agencies, national labs and FFRDCs (agencies for short) with academic institutions in order to improve cybersecurity workforce skills in research, teamwork, presentation skills and project management; and to advance the state-of-the-art in applied research on problems of national interest.
Join us as we host a monthly series of presentations from our fellow CAE-R institutions to learn about their research foci as well as some of their recent research results. In order to avoid conflicts with the CAE TechTalks, we will hold the "Get to Know Your Fellow CAE-R" events every FOURTH Thursday of each month, from 2pm ET to 4pm ET on Zoom. Preregistration is necessary to attend the events.
The goals of the symposium are to (1) further establish the CAE-R as a community of practice, (2) build a community that involves PhD students, and (3) showcase the excellent research done at CAE-R designated institutions.
The Special Topics Workshop is an annual series of discussions on pertinent cybersecurity research topics headed by members of the CAE-R community, representing multiple disciplines, institution types, and geographic regions. Typically, the workshops are run in conjunction with the annual National Cybersecurity Education Colloquium and feature topics that have been nominated and voted on by CAE-R faculty and representatives from government agencies.
In conjunction with the annual CAE Community Symposia, the CAE-R Community of Practice organizes several different activities focused on research in cybersecurity.
