Last year the Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity hosted the first Virtual Career Fair, sponsored by CyberWatch West and the National Science Foundation, for the students and alumni of CAE designated institutions. A total of 637 students/alumni and 69 employers participated in the career fair with initial survey data indicating the event was well perceived by students/alumni and employers. 

This year the Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity is hosting the second CAE Virtual Career Fair, sponsored by Cyber Watch West and the National Science Foundation, on October 5, 2018, from 9:00am-1:00pm PT. The job fair will connect students from CAE designated schools with employers looking to fill internships, part-time positions, and full-time positions. Each student will be required to upload a resume before attending the CAE Virtual Career Fair. Students in Cyber Security degrees from schools designated as Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Security (CAE-C), Cyber Defense (CAE-CD), Cyber Operation (CAE-CO) are invited to register at NO COST.

 

Employer Registration

Employers will have access to all student resumes submitted, which will enable him/her to review quality candidate profiles and student resumes before attending the Virtual Career Fair. In addition, employers will also have the opportunity to showcase your company through virtual booth branding and presentations. Tech support and training before the event will also be available for all employers.

CAE Institution Registration

Looking to fill those empty faculty positions? Your institution can host a booth at the virtual career fair to look for qualified faculty. Whether you are looking for faculty with a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate, the CAE Virtual Career Fair will provide you with the one on one experience with qualified candidates. Resumes will be available to institutions hosting a booth BEFORE the career fair.

The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education is also providing all of the CAE designated institutions with access to their Resume and Interview tutorials. Since all students/alumni/faculty are required to submit a resume before attending the career fair, you are HIGHLY encouraged to take advantage of these FREE resources.
